Muthoot Microfin Limited has won the coveted ‘Golden Peacock Global Award for Excellence in Corporate Governance – 2019’ (Special Commendation) at the Institute of Directors 19th Annual London Global Convention held on November 14, 2019.
The jury led by former Supreme Court Justice Dr. Arijit Pasayat recognised Muthoot Microfin for its excellence in corporate governance and sustainability.
Mr Udeesh Ullas (EVP) and Mr Praveen T (CFO) received the award – regarded as a benchmark for corporate governance excellence worldwide – representing the company at a distinguished gathering of business leaders during the convention.
Baroness Verma (Global Chairperson, Advisory Council, Institute of Directors, India and Chair of EU External Affairs Sub-Committee) and Sir David Clementi, Chairman, BBC, UK jointly presented the award. Golden Peacock Awards aim to promote business excellence by providing a rigorous framework and criteria for assessment that is based on high standard principles.
